CODE OF CONDUCT

 

PURPOSE

This code of ethics is established to promote and maintain the highest professional standards of service and conduct among the membership of the Impact Investors Club. Steadfast maintenance of these principles will ensure a high level of recognition and respect. Through high regard for and strict enforcement of this Code, membership in this Club is based on responsibility, character and professionalism.

APPLICABILITY

This Code applies to all members, whether individuals or corporate entities, of the TPC Impact Investors Club. It applies to the worldwide business and professional dealings of all members.

THE CODE

All members of TPC Impact Investors Club will accept and fully agree to abide by the code of ethics as stipulated herein.

  1. A member shall conduct themselves in such fashion as to be a credit to the Club and profession.

  2. A member shall endeavor to extend public knowledge and appreciation of our areas of focus and to foster a broader recognition of the need, use, and application in private and government sectors as well as other professional organizations.

  3. A member shall oppose and discourage any untrue, unsupported and/or exaggerated statements regarding the areas we are focused on.

  4. A member shall strive to increase the competence and prestige of the profession.

  5. A member shall engage and cooperate with other experts and specialists to promote the areas we are focused on.

  6. A member shall inform pertinent parties of any business connections, interests or circumstances that may influence professional judgement or services; which could result in a potential conflict of interest.

  7. A member shall not disclose, directly or indirectly, information concerning the business affairs of an employer, client or associate in any way without their consent.

  8. A member shall not divulge information given to him/her in confidence.

  9. A member shall not attempt either falsely or maliciously to injure the reputation, business and/or employment status of any other member, whether individual or corporate.

  10. A member shall not offer, give or accept any gifts, favors, monies or services that might unduly influence proper process or could be considered unethical or illegal.

  11. A member shall not disclose the business affairs and financial status of another member or share information acquired at the member's expense without the consent of the member.

  12. A member will avoid any engagement or dealing where a real or perceived conflict of interest might exist.

  13. A member shall not accept a concealed fee for referral, products or professional services.

  14. A member shall freely give credit for work done by others to whom the credit is due and shall refrain from plagiarism in oral and/or written communications, and not knowingly accept credit rightfully due to another person or entity.

  15. A member will not knowingly plagiarise or steal proprietary information belonging to another entity for their personal or professional gain.

  16. A member shall protect, to the fullest extent possible, the interest of other members, providing such interest is consistent with the law and this code of ethics.

  17. A member shall promote high ethical standards among members and encourage the ethical dissemination of technical knowledge.

  18. A member shall not give a professional opinion or make a recommendation in the field of our area of focus outside their area of competence.

  19. A member shall be candid and forthright in statements and responses to the association in matters pertaining to professional conduct.

  20. A member shall not condone or practice sexual harassment nor discriminate against others on the basis of religion, gender, sexual orientation, race, national origin, age, political affiliation or physical abilities.

  21. A member having positive knowledge of a violation of this Code of Ethics by another member shall bring such action to the attention of the admins of this forum, namely The Planet Calls Clg.

  22. A member shall uphold this Code of Ethics by action and example and shall encourage other professionals and organizations to do the same.

  23. Alleged violations are to be reported to the admins of this forum, namely The Planet Calls Clg. who will handle any complaints.

 

UPDATES TO THIS CODE

This Code applies from February 2020 until repealed or amended by the admins of this forum, namely The Planet Calls Clg

The most up-to-date version of this Code will be maintained on The Planet Calls website at all times.
